Community seems to be quite a buzz word nowadays and it covers the news, local councils, policing pledges and many other modern entities. Community is such an important concept and many of this country's services, including the police force and health care, are now adopting a community arrangement.
The community can refer to a good number of things; it may refer to a school, college or other educational establishment. Similarly a geographical location such as a village or town will suffice and even online communities exist nowadays. All inclusive holidays and coach trips can all count as communities too; it's a very wide ranging concept.
There are a number of advantages of being in a community such as a sense of belonging and self worthiness. We can look out for vulnerable members and help each other through difficult times, should the need arise.
Humans are all social animals and we love to be a part of a larger group, whilst spending time with other people. Meeting new friends is a pleasant activity and some people are members of several communities from their working life to their social activities and circles of friends.
We all love to feel as though we belong and through membership of a community, we can enjoy life, feel secure and meet many great new people.
